Because across Europe, a very low percentage of women are working in the field of energy industry, the organizers have decided to support this desirable trend by awarding the Edith Clarke Woman Paper Prize.
Increasing the number of women would improve the emancipation and in particular it is a tool to increase competitiveness and efficiency. This prize will be awarded to the selected woman workshop participant for their excellent representation of the solution to technical problem, or a significant contribution to the development of the electricity industry. The prize will be awarded in two categories: student and professional. The winner of the Student category will recese a diploma and a low cash prize. The professional winner will be rewarded medals with dedication (ground cup of Bohemian crystal).
With sponsors are discussed additional remuneration. For student winner the week stay in the sponsors company. A professional category winners will be published an extensive paper about her person and her professional work in the International technical journals (IFAC) and in journals of National Media Partners.
In this time we can not confirmed if the Edith Clarke Woman Paper Prize will be awarded in the future, because the workshop is currently organized as a specific and unique. Of course, continuation of award Women Prize will depend on the successful course of this workshop.
